The String and Horn Shop prides itself on being one of a handful of stores in Texas that has full repair service for both band and orchestra. Our highly capable staff is made up of some of the most notable names in the industry.

In-store repair is available for all types of band and orchestral instruments. If you are in need of a loaner during the time your instrument is in our shop for repair, we usually have one available. Just ask any of our friendly staff to assist you.

Most repairs are completed within one week, but this may vary depending on the condition of the instrument and the necessary work. Emergency repairs are possible, and in some cases your instrument may be repaired in the same business day you bring it in!

If you rent your instrument from The String and Horn Shop, your rental agreement includes a maintenance policy that is both convenient and hassle free. Our insurance has a "no deductible" clause for the repair of accidental damage or general repair.

String repair is done by Harold Turbyfill. Harold, a strong advocate for orchestra education and maintenance of string instruments, has been repairing string instruments for over 35 years. His book "Basic String Maintenance: A Teacher's Guide" is published by The American String Teacher Association (ASTA). Band repair in Bryan is headed by Clayton Wuesnche. Clayton is a graduate of Western Iowa Tech and has been repairing band instruments for over 15 years. Mr. Wuesnsche, who is a specialist in woodwind repair, offers all types of repair service - from the smallest adjustment to the more arduous semi-haul.
